Call for Papers

Call for Papers

ICCAS 2020 consists of ICCAS Classic, which has the same format as before, and  the newly introduced ICCAS Focused. Attendees of ICCAS 2020 can now enjoy both formats. ICCAS Focused is a kind of single track workshop where many leading researchers get together and share their recent works. ICCAS Focused 2020 consists of three topics:

  1. Focused Track 1: Network and Multi-agent Systems
  2. Focused Track 2: Walking Robots
  3. Focused Track 3: Automotive Control

During the conference, the sessions of both formats are open to all the attendees.

Call for Papers: ICCAS Classic

ICCAS Classic calls for papers regarding the following topics:

  • Control Theory
  • Robotics and Mechatronics
  • Industrial Applications of Control
  • Civil and Urban Control Systems
  • Smart Manufacturing System
  • Human-Robot Interactions
  • Cyber Physical Systems
  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control
  • Process Control Systems
  • Bio & Ecological Systems
  • Sensors and Actuators
  • Machine Vision and Perception
  • Control Devices and Instruments

The paper can be submitted to ICCAS Classic, or one of the Focused Track depending on the topics. Please follow the submission instruction.

Call for papers: Focused Track 1
Network and Multi-agent Systems

This track attempts to share and discuss the cutting-edge trend in the field of network and multi-agent systems, and control. The number of researchers in this research field has dramatically increased recently in Asian countries (including China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong). We believe that it is essential to interact each other to define new and non-trivial problems, which motivates making this focused track as the 1st International Joint Symposium on Network and Multi-agent Systems, and Control. It is timely one to seek a chance of collaborations among researchers in Asian countries. Basically, the symposium will be organized on the basis of invitations; however, anyone who wants to attend this symposium or anyone who wants to speak at this symposium will be more than welcome.

This track covers the following topics:

  • Network systems and analysis
  • Multi-agent systems and analysis
  • Network control
  • Multi-agent control
  • Applications in smart power network, water irrigation network, traffic network, data and information processing, and social network
  • Applications in multiple unmanned vehicles

If you want to join the symposium as an invited speaker, you could contact the Chair, Prof. Hyo-Sung Ahn, GIST, Korea (hyosung@gist.ac.kr).  If you want to join the symposium with your regular paper, just follow the instruction of paper submission.

Call for papers: Focused Track 2
Walking Robots

This is one of the three Focused Track of ICCAS 2020, and covers the topics related to walking robots, including but not limited to

  • Humanoid robots, quadruped robots, and other types of legged robots
  • Mechanical design of walking robots
  • Dynamics, control, and planning
  • SLAM, perception for navigation
  • Applications of walking robots

If you want to join the symposium as an invited speaker, you could contact the Chair, Prof. Jaeheung Park, Seoul National Univ., Korea (park73@snu.ac.kr).  If you want to join the symposium with your regular paper, just follow the instruction of paper submission.

Call for papers: Focused Track 3
Automotive Control

  • Connected and Automated Vehicles
    • AI/ML Applications for ADAS
    • Security and safety for ADAS/AV
    • Mapping/Localization
    • Navigation and Motion Planning
    • Perception for ADAS/AV
    • Driver-Vehicle Interaction
    • Multi-Vehicle Cooperative Automation
    • Intelligent Transportation Systems
    • Fault tolerant control design for AV
  • Powertrain, Electrification, and Vehicle Dynamic Controls
    • Engine/Powertrain/Aftertreatment Systems
    • Alternative Fuels/Advanced Combustion Technologies
    • Energy Conversion, Waste Heat Recovery
    • Drivetrain/Driveline Systems, Vehicle Dynamics
    • Steering and Suspensions Systems
    • Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
    • Battery and Energy Storage Systems
    • Vehicle Active and Passive Safety Systems

If you want to join the symposium as an invited speaker, you could contact the Chair; Prof. Dongsuk Kum, KAIST, Korea (dskum@kaist.ac.kr).  If you want to join the symposium with your regular paper, just follow the instruction of paper submission.
